Hi guys, SUZUKI RM-Z250/RM-Z450 model bikes planned to launch 2010. You heard right. The 2010 RM-Z250 is fuel-injected. Controlling the flow is a 43mm throttle body with progressive throttle linkage that is powered by a magneto-generator after starting. It has been adapted from the system established two years ago in the RM-Z450. The radiator louvers also got a makeover in an effort to direct more air to the twin side-mounted aluminum alloy radiators and keep the new EFI engine running cool.

Chassis updates, suspension mods, a new muffler, the Suzuki R&D crew has been busy with its 250. The motorcycle that brought home the 2009 AMA Supercross Lites West Coast title should be a serious contender come shootout time.

Suzuki’s engineers have carefully developed the RM-Z450’s powerful 449cm3, DOHC, 4-valve engine to increase power throughout the rev range. Always known for its incredible midrange grunt, the 2010 RM-Z450 also has arm- stretching high-rpm power. A combination of revised cam profiles and reworked cylinder-head porting give the RM-Z450 amazing idle-to-redline thrust. A modified throttle linkage makes the low-speed response more progressive. Suzuki continues to offer its two-strokes, the RM125 and RM250, but only in the European market. Suzuki has not yet revealed the 2010 MSRPs.

The B-King is a naked sport bike manufactured by Suzuki, that was unveiled in 2007.It uses the same 1340 cc (81.7 cu in) engine that is fitted to the Hayabusa, but with different exhaust and inlet systems.

The bike produces a tested 162.97 hp (122 kW) and 85.72 lb·ft (116 N·m) of torque.

The B-King was originally revealed in 2001 as a concept show bike powered by a supercharged Hayabusa engine and fitted with a 240 section rear tyre.

HARLEY DAVIDSON INDIA 2009

Harley-Davidson took almost 2 years to plan the launch of its brand retail outlets in the Indian subcontinent. And finally they are close to launching, nearly 2 years after receiving the import license for the Indian market.

The company was granted permission to launch their products in India in 2007 itself but they decided otherwise as the high import duties would make the bikes too expensive.

The company would launch bikes whose price tag would range from Rs 4 – 14 lakhs via the CBU route which will see 60% import duty by the end of 2009. it may consider assembling its low-end Sportster 883 at its proposed Greenfield assembly facility in a CKD form, although the location has not yet been finalized.

India’s ministry of shipping, road transportation and highways had earlier rejected Harley Davidson’s proposal to come to India saying that India lacked prescribed emission norms for motorcycles with an engine capacity more than 500cc. Although many bikes have been allowed imports which do have engine capacity above 500cc, which includes 1300cc Suzuki Hayabusa last November.

The FIPB will meet on 20 February to review Harley Davidson’s application. The Harley Davidson bikes are expected to hit the Indian roads by the end of 2009, and local assembling of CKD units would start in India by 2010-2011.

Kawasaki has marketed the Ninja 250R since 1986 as an entry-level sport motorcycle intended for use on Racing tracks. The bike is marketed in the US as the Ninja 250R, as the ZX250 in the UK, and as the GPX250 elsewhere.

It is an entry level sports motorcycle with a fairing made. Bajaj along with Kawasaki will be marketing it in India and is soon expected to be seen in the market in Bajaj Pro biking showrooms all over the world. The Ninja 250R saw its first major change last year.

The new model Ninja really looks one of the best looking bikes launched last year. While the older version sold for around USD 3000, the new one sells for USD 3500 or around 1.3lakh indian rupees

2009 BMW S1000RR is official now

Originally codenamed the K46, BMW released photos to the press this morning of what is now called the S1000RR. Dates for when the bike will be hitting dealer floors is still unknown, though homologation rules give BMW until December of 2009. BMW has also said the road version is to have traction control.We're curious to see how BMW incorporates its trademark offset headlights. No word on heated grips either.
(UPDATE: a transcript from BMW's General Director has been released, stating that only 1000 S1000RR's will be built by the end of next year.)
